Why do people do this blog thing? Are we trying to be heard or just express ourselves? Are we so frustrated at the world that often seems to be spinning out of control around us? For me it is about the frustration of seeing that we no longer have any control of our lives and that our social norms and ability to decide what is, and is not acceptable, is no longer controlled by "the people."
For a very long time I have told many people that the simplest way to look at the constitution was that you pretty much have the right to do whatever you want as long as you don't infringe on other people's rights. The rights that we have are described in the laws that we make, and the constitutions that we form at the State and National levels. The laws enacted through the legislative process and the amending of our constitutions is under assault by fringe groups that seek to force their views on others. These types of issues are primarily what I will be writing about. I dont really know if anyone will read this, but we shall see.
